India’s First Male Artist to Perform a Solo Show of Only Female Songs – Mahendra Dhondiba Dethe Creates History!
Mr. Mahendra Dethe’s Record Show:
In a landmark moment for Indian music, Mr. Mahendra Dhondiba Dethe has achieved a record-setting feat recognized by the ACE Book of Records—a first-of-its-kind musical performance featuring only female songs sung by a male artist, all in a solo show held on 18th May 2025. This bold and artistic concept redefines creativity in Indian performance arts and celebrates the legacy of legendary female vocalists through a unique and heartfelt tribute.
🎼 A Musical Journey of Passion, Perseverance & Purpose
Mahendra’s inspiring journey began in 1992 as an Age Organizer in the field of music. Despite launching with three shows, circumstances led him away from music and family responsibilities took precedence. But passion doesn’t fade—it waits.
In 2009, after a 16-year hiatus, Mahendra re-entered the musical world, this time with renewed vigor. He launched karaoke singing classes that continue to nurture talent to this day.
In 2010, he stood out among 396 contestants from the Ambarnath/Badlapur/Ulhasnagar zone in the “Sur-e-Taal” singing competition conducted by Bharat Gas—emerging as the only selected participant from his region.
From 2010 to 2016, Mahendra participated in 28 singing competitions across Maharashtra, consistently winning accolades and awards for his unmatched vocal talent. His appearances on Doordarshan Mumbai during 2011–12, in five televised parts of musical events, brought his voice to a wider audience. Although selected for a tribute show on the death anniversary of legendary singer Mukesh in Delhi, the segment unfortunately went unaired—yet his selection itself was a proud moment.
Through Vision Music India, Mahendra organized and performed in several theater-based shows, all designed around unique musical themes. In 2017 and 2018, his show “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” featured 12 real-life couples singing 24 songs—two performed by Mahendra himself. This concept was so impactful that Zee 24 Taas covered it in a special TV interview.
A passionate social contributor, Mahendra has delivered 59 free musical shows at old-age homes across Maharashtra, bringing joy and companionship through music. His platform, Vision Music India, continues to promote socially-conscious performances and innovative show formats.
A respected mentor and judge, Mahendra has trained over 500 students in music from 2009 to 2025, while also judging numerous major singing competitions. His commitment to music was also evident in his performance at a celebration event for Indian cricketers who won the Handicap World Cup (2017–2018), held at a resort in Badlapur.
🌟 The Historic Performance of 2025

His most groundbreaking moment came in May 2025, when he performed an entire show singing only female songs—as a male solo artist. This innovative concert not only challenged traditional performance norms but also showcased the emotional and vocal versatility needed to deliver such renditions with grace and authenticity.
This bold and unprecedented act has now been officially recognized by the ACE Book of Records, further solidifying Mahendra’s place in the annals of Indian music history.
